Amateur photographer.
(If you are looking for a full bio, find out more about me and my other blogs.)
sometimes a picture says the sentence abundantly, sometimes the picture portrays your thoughts, and sometimes, a sentence is more meaningful with a picture.
I use a Film SLR (Canon EOS 88) and a DSLR (Canon EOS400D).
Not very technically competent. Have been using the same camera and lenses since 2006. Always face a problem, when I say I am a photographer. People talk about lenses and cameras and filters. I think photographers should discuss photographs. Haven’t yet found a photographer who talks photographs.
I will. Someday.
Landscapes, buildings, beaches, textures, angles, faces, and oddities.
Subject is more important than technique?
Admire the work of Candida Höfer, Andreas Gursky, Thomas Ruff, and pretty much all the students of Bernd and Hilla Becher. Further in awe of Thomas Demand, Philip-Lorca diCorcia, and Robert Frank.
Vilém Flusser, Roland Barthes, and John Berger put my thoughts in words. Very well, I may add.
